From September 14th to September 16th, more than 5,000 people gathered at the Palais des Congrès in Paris for the three-day Coin Blockchain Week. Participants from within and outside the blockchain community shared their thoughts on Web3 culture, cryptocurrency regulation, and more.

‘Frameworks & Foundations’ & ‘Build Bold’

The first topic of the first day of the conference was ‘Frameworks & Foundations’, which was dedicated to discussing France's role as a crypto hub in Europe and the government's regulation of cryptocurrencies, as well as covering how Web3 is benefiting users around the globe and contributing to various charitable causes.

In France, there are companies such as Ubisoft and Ledger, which are helping to rapidly develop the ecosystem; venture capital firms are also active in France; and France's excellent engineering talent is also a key factor in the country's emergence as a financial center for cryptocurrencies. He also said that Prime Minister Macron's drive to lower taxes and provide a regulatory framework that protects and invests has helped France welcome cryptocurrency players.

“Build Bold” was the second theme of Day 1, exploring how Web3 communities are built and how they benefit projects and teams around the world.

‘Web3 Culture Convergence’ & ‘A Web3-Powered World’

The second day of the conference talked about how Web3 has impacted and createdNew Opportunities in Fashion, Sports, Arts and More

The morning started with a retired NBA player Tony Parker Chatting, he shares his insights on how NFT has influenced large-scale movements. He also talks about his project with French pop artist Julien Durix and Like a Brush NFT programmer Alan Terrisse.

International Tennis Champion Maria Sharapova Also participating, she discusses the convergence of the Web 3 world and the world of sports, and mentions her experiences in the field.

In addition to sports, the first half of the second day focused on fashion, with Elise Yoshida of Chrisitian Louboutin and Benjamin Eymere of the AMTD Group analyzing Web3's current impact on the high fashion world.

The theme of the second half of the second day was ‘A Web3-Powered World’, and the Coin Security panelists talked aboutRegenerative Finance, Decentralization and DeFiThe discussion covered the relationship between traditional and decentralized finance and how both are adapting to the new tools and technologies brought by Web3. Members discussed possible future blockchain-related technologies and current gaps in different fields. After the two-day conference, the final day of the Paris Coin Blockchain Week featured discussions led by the Coin team.
