TAIPEI — August 31, 2026 — ETHTaipei 2026, Taiwan’s annual Ethereum developer conference, will take place on September 13–14 at the POPOP Taipei in Nangang, Taipei. The organizers announced the two-day keynote lineup today: Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin will kick off Cryptonative Day on September 13; on September 14, Taiwan Mobile General Manager Lin Zhichen will deliver the keynote for Institution Day, bridging Ethereum’s core technology with its real-world applications in Taiwan’s industries. “Cryptography and the real world are converging, and it is the research and engineering behind it all that makes this possible. This is precisely the core of ETHTaipei 2026,” said Martinet of the ETHTaipei organizing team.
Vitalik will kick off Cryptonative Day
On the first day of ETHTaipei 2026, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin will deliver the keynote address at Cryptonative Day. This one-day program is geared toward Ethereum developers and the technical community, covering protocol and core development, Layer 2 scaling, zero-knowledge proofs and privacy, wallets and account abstraction, DeFi, consumer and social applications, cybersecurity, and development tools.
Lin Zhichen will open Institution Day
The following day, Taiwan Mobile General Manager Lin Zhi-chen delivered the keynote address at Institution Day. This day will focus on topics of interest to banks and financial institutions, covering institutional-grade wallets and custody, digital asset and smart contract security, stablecoin risk management, real-world assets (RWA) and the tokenization of U.S. stocks, AI-agent-driven Machine Finance, and blockchain selection for financial institutions. The lineup of international and local speakers continues to grow
In addition to the two keynote speakers, speakers at ETHTaipei 2026 include representatives from Polymarket (global prediction market), Uniswap (decentralized exchange protocol), the Ethereum Foundation, ChainSafe (blockchain infrastructure), LINE NEXT, CertiK (blockchain security), OneSavie Labs, Quantstamp (smart contract auditing), Fluidkey, Morpho, imToken Labs, PIF12, and Swarm Protocol, covering protocol research, DeFi, privacy, security, and consumer-facing applications. More speakers will be announced in the coming days.
